Daily drop in Art Camps this week only
I’m teaching some fun art classes for kids this summer. This week, in fact! Come to one or two or all five!
Monday through Friday June 22 – June 26, 2015,
1:30pm-3:30pm at the Discovery Learning Center
111 Errett Circle Santa Cruz.
For approximately pre-k – 6 years of age, under 5 requires parent participation. Geared for the younger kids, but all ages are welcome!
Explore color, texture, and different media such as paints, pastel, collage, and more.
Learn basic art terms, view some work of some great artists, and have fun getting creative with me; L. E. Mastilock, a local multimedia artist. My teaching style is very relaxed. I want kids to be inspired, stretch their creativity and innovation, and truly enjoy the processes of art. They are never forced to follow every direction; my lessons are a suggestion to introduce new materials and techniques, but kids have the freedom to choose what to do with those materials if they wish. I have taught art camps at Kruz Kidz summer camps and classes at the Discovery Learning Center (DLC) as well as other classes and workshops.
All materials provided. We’ll learn some new terms, look at famous artists’ works, and discuss the project we’ll be working on. Then we’ll get messy creating!
Cost: DLC $2-$5 donation + $5 material fee per child and (at least) free basic membership to the DLC
No registration required, parent must stay on campus, no drop-off! Contact lmastilock(at)gmail(dot)com with any questions
Minimum 5 kids, max 20 per class, first come basis.
